THE WAY OF THE SEABHEAN
With International teacher and Facilitator
Amantha Murphy
An introductory weekend to the way of the Seabhean. The Seabhean is SHE who crosses the path between the worlds. She holds the presence and inner-seeing of the Shaman and the wisdom of the Cailleach (old Woman).
The Shamanic tradition goes back over many thousands of years. Each clan or grouping of people held in reverence the Shamanic Way. This Way allows a person to Journey into these worlds for healing, for answers, for visions, which brings a sense of continuity, wholeness and integration for self and for the clan.
The Cailleach holds sacred the Mysteries/Rites of Passage for women and for the clan. She reminds us of who we are and the sacredness of passing on our tradition. Re-weaving, Re-membering, Re-trieving allows us to Re-claim our Passion and our Power.
Explanation of the ‘Seabhean:
The three worlds, Lower, Middle and Upper.
Journeying with your allies and ancestral teachers.
Connecting with our Ancient Goddesses upon the ancient Wheel of the Sun.
Using Drumming, rattle, dance, chants and sound.
The beat of our hearts is the pulse of our Mother Earth
Calling us to be ourselves. To walk in our Beauty...

PreCeltic Shamanic Weekend
27th & 28th Feb 2010
Connemara
BEALTAINE PILGRIMAGE
Friday 23rd April - Sunday 2nd May 2010
Immersing ourselves into the Land of Eiru
"She calls to us and we answer ".
The Mother is calling you home, calling to a place within, where we can
rest awhile, knowing we are being held and fed, loved and cared for,
filling us, as we drink from the chalice, so that we may carry forward Her
love/our love into all aspects of our lives.
As part of your journey upon the Way; this Pilgrimage, we will gather the
threads and weave ourselves whole: as women, as Sisters, as powerful and
light-filled Souls. We will sing and chant, we will dance and move and
there will be times when we will hold the silence and bear witness.
We start our Pilgrimage connecting with the Fairy Queen - moving on to the
Great Mother - being blessed by Bridget and finishing with Maebh the great
and wild Goddess of the land, Patroness of Bealtaine.
We come together to hear the pulse of Her nature and the beat of Her Heart
through the inner and outer landscapes of Herself/ourselves. In this
ten-day Pilgrimage we first take space for inner work to prepare us to walk
the body and connect with honour and openness to the Great Goddess in Her
many phases and places. We will also take space each day for inner work and
creating a space of safety to allow those aspects of our nature to emerge,
flow and integrate, allowing ourselves the opportunity to be fully who we
are in joy and in life.
Each Pilgrimage is unique in that we follow the flow of the group dynamic
and what emerges is always beautiful and ever unfolding, therefore we have
an itinerary, which is changeable according to the needs of the group. We
come together as women, we walk a while-together awakening to our selves
and our many faces and we move on as sisters, connected through laughter,
loving, sharing and openness.

Amantha Murphy is a Shamanic Healer and follows the path of the Goddess. Her passion has always been with the Land. Ireland, the land of her roots, speaks to her the loudest. It was her Grandmother who gave her the gift of the awareness of the earth as the true Mother. Amantha started her spiritual work publicly 36 years ago as a clairvoyant and moved on to trance mediumship. Amantha's teachings have come from her spirit guides, ancestral teachers, her Grandmother and the land Herself. As a child her Grandmother would take Amantha out onto the land to the places that held special energy. There they would sit and commune with the fairy folk and the Shining ones - the Tuatha De Danann.
Amantha has been running Sacred Pilgrimages successfully in Ireland since 1992 and returned full time to her roots in Co. Kerry, Ireland in 1997. She encourages women to go through the Celtic and pre-Celtic Goddess archetypes.
"Ireland holds the energy of the Great Goddess in Her many faces and the feminine energy in Ireland is very powerful. As we reconnect with the Land and Her many sacred places we move instinctively into re-membering, through the archetypes, and the myths and legends of the land. This can also draw forth in women, aspects of the shadow, the dark Goddess as well as the Wild Woman, the Child, Mother and the Crone."
Amantha's focus is very much on the pre-Celtic Shamanic teachings, Sacred Ceremony, the Celtic Wheel and Rites of Passage. She conducts workshops on a variety of subjects including: Pre-Celtic Shamanism, "Astro Drama", as well as "Faces of the Goddess" and "The Arcane Teaching of the Tarot" specifically for women. Amantha is also available as a Dula (one who is with women when they are giving birth, especially home-births). Amantha is the mother of four and Grandmother of three, which she considers to be her greatest act of beauty.
